About Mr. Jacob B.

Mr. Jacob B. Bach earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1999. He arrived in the legal profession at the end of the 20th century and has spent the years since building a practice grounded in courtroom experience and client counseling. Law school set the foundation; the next decades put it to work.

Early in his career he moved into private practice and steadily expanded the range of matters he handles. Over more than two decades he has advised individuals and businesses, managed contested proceedings, and handled complex documents and transactions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases and pragmatic in resolving disputes. He combines trial preparation with a steady attention to transactional detail.

Bach’s work covers a broad swath of civil law. He has represented clients in commercial contexts as well as in personal legal matters. That breadth has required him to switch gears often: arguing a motion in the morning, negotiating a settlement in the afternoon, then drafting an agreement the next day. He applies the same careful reading of statutes and contract language whether the client is a small business or an individual.

Throughout his career he has worked in different firm settings and on matters of varying complexity. His practice has involved court appearances, negotiated resolutions, and long-form drafting. He places emphasis on clear communication with clients, explaining options and likely outcomes in plain language. That approach shapes how he prepares, litigates, and advises, and it guides the work he does for people who come to him for practical legal help.

Today he is based at Stevens Carlberg & McMillan, where he represents clients across a range of civil and commercial matters. He continues to divide his time between courtroom work and transactional tasks, aiming to match legal strategy to each client's practical objectives. He currently concentrates his practice on advising clients on civil and commercial legal matters.
