About Mr. Greg

Mr. Greg White earned his law degree from Baylor University in 1976. He entered practice after completing his J.D., then moved into appellate work that would come to define his career. He also built a foothold in courtroom work, later joining an organization of trial advocates that reflects that dual track.

Early on, White pursued formal recognition of his appellate skills. He is certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential guided much of his caseload and the kinds of matters he accepted. Over the years he gained admission to practice not only in Texas state courts but in federal appellate settings as well, including the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

His professional life has run on more than one track. He has practiced as an appellate lawyer and appeared in higher courts. At the same time he has remained connected to the trial bar. His membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates, which he joined in 2011, signals ongoing engagement with litigation beyond briefs and appellate argument.

Teaching entered the picture in 1995 when he began serving as an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law. That role has continued for decades and places him back in the classroom each year. Students see someone who has carried legal arguments from trial through appeal and who can compare strategy at different phases of a case.

In 2012 he was named a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. The designation links him to a statewide community of lawyers involved in study and service. Through that and other professional affiliations he has remained active in legal circles, maintaining contacts that span bench and bar.

White’s practice reflects the qualifications he has assembled. He handles appellate work in civil matters and appears in courts across multiple jurisdictions. His background combines years of courtroom exposure with concentrated appellate practice and academic work. That combination informs how he prepares briefs, frames oral argument, and advises clients on the likely arc of litigation.

He continues to teach, to write and argue appellate issues, and to participate in trial advocacy circles. His current practice centers on civil appellate litigation, including work in Texas state courts and federal appellate forums.
