Mr. Berl H. Selski is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1972. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Selski is the principal of Selski ADR, a firm specializing in alternative dispute resolution services, located at 24832 Elena Drive, Laguna Hills, California. He has been practicing law for over five decades, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. Selski earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he graduated in 1971. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1964. In 2009, he furthered his expertise by obtaining a certificate in Mediating the Litigated Case from Pepperdine University School of Law.
Mr. Selski concentrates his practice in the areas of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. He has handled cases involving personal injury, property damage, premises liability, construction, insurance coverage disputes, contracts, and subrogation. His practice encompasses all stages of dispute resolution, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and arbitration proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Selski has been involved in numerous ADR cases as counsel and has served as a mediator and arbitrator for various courts and organizations. He has been a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court since 2009, handling various civil cases throughout the county. He has also served as a mediator for the Riverside Superior Court ADR Panels since 2008, handling cases in all areas of the county, except the eastern region. Additionally, he has been a mediator for Community Service Programs, Inc. of Orange County since 2009, mediating cases involving non-attorney represented parties who have filed in small claims court. He has also served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association since 2008, handling expedited commercial arbitration assignments.
Mr. Selski is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He has also served as a temporary judge and settlement attorney for the San Diego Superior Court since 2009, participating in various training programs related to small claims court procedures and judicial ethics. He is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
