About Mr. Ashkan
Mr. Ashkan Mehryari earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 2009 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University in 2007. He arrived at law school with an engineering background and an aptitude for technical analysis. That training shaped how he approaches evidence and case preparation. He tends to break complex problems into smaller parts and address them in sequence.
His legal career moved steadily through private practice. Records show he was at MAS Law Office in 2011, and by 2014 he was serving as a shareholder and partner there. In 2019 he opened Mehryari Law Office and has practiced under that name since. Those years in a firm setting and then running his own office gave him experience on both sides of practice management and client representation.
Mr. Mehryari is an active member of several professional organizations. He maintains membership in the State Bar of Texas and belongs to the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Iranian American Bar Association. From 2014 to 2019 he served on the board of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, a period during which he participated in local bar activities and professional programs.
In court and at the advising table he has handled a range of matters arising under Texas law. His membership in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association indicates regular involvement in criminal defense work. Colleagues and clients have noted that he brings a methodical, detail-oriented style to case development and courtroom preparation. He is comfortable examining technical evidence and explaining it in ordinary terms.
The combination of an engineering degree and a law degree gives him a particular lens on disputes that involve technical points, complicated fact patterns, or procedural detail. He applies that background when preparing motions, reviewing reports, and questioning expert witnesses. He also draws on his years in firm practice to manage case workflows and supervise outside vendors when necessary.
Today he practices from Mehryari Law Office in Texas. He represents clients in state matters and concentrates on criminal defense and related civil issues in Texas.
