About Mr. Allan S.
Mr. Allan S. Lolly trained first as a philosopher at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a B.A. in 1978. He then turned to law and completed his J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law in 1986. Those formative years set the tone for a career that crosses state and federal lines.
He built his courtroom and appellate experience in California before expanding his practice to federal forums. He is admitted to practice in California and before the Federal Circuit, the D.C. Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. That range has shaped the kinds of matters he brings into the office and the colleagues he works with outside it.
In 2000 he took on the role of managing lawyer at Allan S. Lolly & Associates APC. He has led the firm through changes in immigration law and shifts in federal appellate procedure. The office handles individual client matters as well as appeals, and it has maintained consistent operations since he assumed management responsibilities.
Beyond the firm, his memberships map a steady professional presence. He has been active in the California Bar Association and the Santa Clara University Law Association since 1990. He joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2000 and the Better Business Bureau in 2002. He also stays connected to his undergraduate roots through the U.C. Berkeley alumni network.
Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who draws on appellate experience when handling immigration cases. His admissions to the Federal Circuit and the D.C. Circuit, along with the credential to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, allow him to follow a matter from a local filing to a national stage when necessary. He balances written advocacy with in-court argument, and he is prepared to move a case through multiple levels of review.
He continues to operate out of Allan S. Lolly & Associates APC. His practice concentrates on immigration law and federal appellate matters.
