About Morris Eugene White
Morris Eugene White III took a steady, academic route to law. He earned a B.A. from Southwestern University in 1989, then completed an M.B.A. at the Texas Tech Graduate School of Business in 1992. He returned to Texas Tech for his legal training and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1997.
After law school Mr. White entered practice in Texas. He has been a member of the Texas bar since 1997 and has practiced through the years at Villa & White LLP. His career has unfolded largely within that firm, where he has handled the routine demands of a small-firm practice and the more complex matters that come with serving clients across a range of civil matters.
Colleagues and clients describe him as pragmatic in approach. He prefers clear explanations and practical solutions. That temperament traces back to his combined business and legal education: the M.B.A. gave him an eye for business considerations, while the J.D. grounded him in procedural and substantive rules. He applies both when assessing a case and advising a client.
Mr. White's work has required attention to detail and to the shifting landscape of Texas law. Over the decades he has navigated court calendars, negotiated agreements and managed litigation files. He is experienced at preparing pleadings and legal memoranda, and at counseling clients on choices that have legal and financial consequences. He has balanced courtroom preparation with day-to-day client communications.
Outside of casework, he has maintained professional ties in the Texas legal community. His ongoing membership in state bar circles keeps him connected to colleagues and to developments in state law. That network has supported referrals and collaboration on matters that require more specialized input.
He combines a small-firm sensibility with the procedural knowledge that comes from long practice. His background in business informs how he assesses risk and frames settlement options. He is based at Villa & White LLP and continues to handle matters for clients in Texas.
He currently practices law in Texas at Villa & White LLP.
