About Morgan
Morgan Schumann built her path to law from an uncommon mix of anthropology and nonprofit management. She earned a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2011. She followed that with an M.S. in nonprofit management and leadership from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2015, and completed a J.D. at the University of Illinois College of Law in 2018. Those academic stops point to an interest in organizations, systems and how people work within them.
After law school, Schumann moved into practice in Illinois. She has worked on matters that require close attention to statutory detail and practical problem solving. Colleagues describe her as someone who approaches cases methodically and prefers clear, direct communication. That approach reflects her academic background, where fieldwork and organizational study often call for patience and precision.
Early in her career Schumann gained experience across multiple settings. She spent time advising small organizations and representing individual clients. Those roles gave her familiarity with both transactional work and dispute resolution. Over time she gravitated toward cases where careful preparation and straightforward client counseling matter most.
In court and at the conference table she is known for a steady, measured style. She does not court headlines. Instead, she focuses on getting the details right and setting realistic expectations for clients. Her training in nonprofit leadership informs how she handles organizational clients and governance questions, while her anthropology degree helps in understanding client needs and community contexts.
Schumann now practices from Pineapple Law, PLLC. At the firm she applies her combined legal and organizational background to the day-to-day work of advising clients, preparing documents and resolving disputes. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and conducts work there.
Those who have worked with her say she brings clarity to complex matters and keeps the client’s practical concerns at the center of a case. She continues to build her practice at Pineapple Law, PLLC, handling legal matters in Illinois.
