Monty S. Gill is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Gill is the owner and managing attorney at the Law Offices of Monty S. Gill, a law firm located in Ventura, California. He has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout Ventura County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Gill earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, where he graduated with a Dean's Scholarship. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society and Religious Studies. During his time at UCSB, he was awarded the prestigious Dean's Honors in Fall 1989 and Spring 1992. After law school, he passed the California bar exam on his first attempt.
Mr. Gill concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, employment law, family law, and social security disability. He represents individuals in matters involving criminal charges, DUI/DWI offenses, social security disability claims, personal injury cases, employment disputes, and family law issues such as child custody and support. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gill has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for Ventura County and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a managing attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County from 1998 to 2001 and as an associate attorney at the Norman Dowler Law Firm from 1997 to 1998.
Mr. Gill is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. Mr. Gill is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Ventura County effectively.
