About Molly
Molly Talley earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1994 and returned to the same campus for law school, receiving her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1998. Those years in Athens shaped the first phase of a steady legal career. She built a foundation in transactional work while completing law school and moving into private practice after graduation.
Her professional life has been centered at Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., where she serves as an attorney. At the firm she handles matters that intersect with development and real estate, working with clients on deals that range from purchase agreements to financing arrangements. Her work often requires coordinating among lenders, builders, and real estate professionals, and she regularly prepares and reviews documents that move projects forward.
Talley is active in a number of local and industry organizations. She maintains membership in the Western Circuit Bar Association and participates in the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. She also holds affiliate memberships in several real estate–related groups, including the Athens Area Association of Realtors, the Athens Area Homebuilders Association, and the Athens Mortgage Bankers Association. Her involvement extends to the National Association of Development Companies and the Women’s Council of Realtors. These affiliations reflect the network she works within and the types of transactions that come across her desk.
Clients and colleagues describe her work as practical and detail-oriented. She handles contract negotiation, title review, closing coordination, and related regulatory matters. When projects require collaboration across disciplines, she liaises with surveyors, lenders, and municipal officials to clear hurdles that can delay a closing. The role often requires an ability to explain complex terms in plain language and to keep multiple moving parts on schedule.
Talley continues to practice at Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., where she concentrates on real estate, development, and mortgage-related transactional matters. She maintains active memberships in local and national professional groups tied to those areas of practice.
