Miranda Dempsey McCroskey was admitted to the State Bar of California on June 3, 1997, and is currently an active attorney at Unlock Legal, APLC. She has built her practice around criminal defense and professional license defense, providing legal services to clients in various capacities throughout her career.
Ms. McCroskey completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, before earning her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in 1996. Her educational background has provided her with a strong foundation in legal principles, which she has applied throughout her professional journey.
Her practice areas include criminal defense, where she handles cases related to DUI and DWI, domestic violence, juvenile law, drug crimes, theft, fraud, and assault. Additionally, she specializes in professional license defense, representing professionals facing disciplinary actions or license revocation, as well as administrative law, which involves appeals and hearings before state agencies.
Over the years, Ms. McCroskey has held various positions, including serving as the owner and founder of Unlock Legal since 2017 and previously in a similar role since 2004. She has also been a partner and chair of the Criminal Defense Division since 2015. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, all California Superior Courts, and several federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, and Northern Districts of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
