About Mindy M.
Mindy M. Nolan earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her academic background combined law and language study, and it remains part of how she approaches complex client matters.
Soon after finishing law school she began practicing in Wisconsin. Over time she became involved in professional organizations that center on criminal defense work. She joined both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2019, and she has served on the Wisconsin group’s board since that year.
Her work is rooted in criminal defense. She represents people facing a variety of criminal charges in Wisconsin courts. Colleagues describe her as methodical; she focuses on preparing a case for trial while also exploring options to resolve matters short of trial when appropriate. Her undergraduate training in Spanish and international studies assists her when cases touch on language access or cross-border issues.
Outside of client files she has taken a visible role in the local defense bar. Serving on the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers board has put her in regular contact with other defense attorneys across the state. She also maintains membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and several local professional circles that provide continuing education and peer support.
Mindy Nolan practices at Ahmad & Nolan Defense. Her day-to-day work involves meeting clients, reviewing discovery, drafting motions, and appearing in court. She balances courtroom preparation with negotiation efforts and often coordinates with investigators or experts when a case requires them.
Her career path reflects steady involvement in Wisconsin’s criminal defense community. She combines classroom training in law and languages with hands-on practice in state courtrooms. She now handles criminal defense matters at Ahmad & Nolan Defense.
