About Mikha D.
Mikha D. Romero began her path to law with a degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She graduated in 2020, having spent her undergraduate years studying how messages shape public understanding. She stayed in Baton Rouge for law school and earned a J.D. and a D.C.L. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2023.
Those academic choices gave her a mix of practical and doctrinal training. Coursework at the law center covered both common-law and civil-law traditions, a useful background for practice in Louisiana. Her communication studies earlier on lent an extra layer of clarity to oral advocacy and written work.
After law school, Romero joined Kean Miller LLP as an associate. Her role there places her inside a full-service regional firm that handles business, regulatory and litigation matters. She has taken on drafting, research and client-facing assignments. Colleagues have relied on her to prepare briefs, assist on motions and manage discovery tasks in cases handled by the firm.
Romero maintains membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana and participates in bar activities that connect newer lawyers with established practitioners. That involvement reflects a typical path for recent law graduates who move from academic settings into firm practice.
Her classroom background in mass communication has shaped how she approaches client work. Romero tends to frame issues in plain language and to organize materials so nonlawyers can follow them. At Kean Miller she works on matters that require close attention to procedural rules and tight drafting. She also assists on cases that require coordination among multiple attorneys and complex document management.
Her practice to date mixes litigation support and transactional tasks. She has worked on filings in state courts and handled pretrial preparations. In addition to courtroom documents, her assignments include contract review and regulatory filings. The variety of work reflects the range of services her firm provides to businesses and individuals across Louisiana.
Romero’s career is in its early stages. She remains connected to the legal community in Louisiana and continues to develop practical skills on client matters. She is currently an associate at Kean Miller LLP and practices in Louisiana, concentrating on litigation support and transactional work in the state.
