About Mike
Mike Miller earned his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2005 after completing a B.S. in Business Administration and Management at Roosevelt University in 2001. His educational background combines formal legal training with undergraduate study in business. That mix has informed his approach to client matters ever since.
Since graduating from law school, Miller has practiced in Illinois. He has worked on a range of consumer financial matters and, over the years, moved into roles that blend direct client work with practice management. He serves as a Managing Associate at DebtStoppers USA, where he oversees case handling and assists in shaping firm procedures tied to debt relief and related filings.
Miller maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He also participates in the Chicago C.A.R.E. Program, an initiative that connects legal services to local communities.
Those affiliations reflect the kinds of matters Miller handles day to day. He works on consumer bankruptcy cases and negotiates with creditors. He also addresses disputes that arise when clients seek relief from collection efforts. His legal practice draws on both legal and business principles to evaluate options and pursue practical outcomes.
Colleagues describe Miller as steady and pragmatic in client meetings. He spends a lot of time explaining options and guiding clients through procedural steps. Court filings, creditor negotiations and client counseling take up much of his calendar. The work often requires patience and an eye for detail; those are traits he has emphasized in supervising associate attorneys and support staff at his firm.
Outside of casework, Miller’s involvement with professional groups keeps him current on developments in bankruptcy law and consumer protection rules. He attends continuing education programs and takes part in local bar events. He currently concentrates his practice on consumer debt relief and bankruptcy matters.
