About Mike

Mike Dermendjian studied philosophy at the University of California, San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Arts before turning to the study of law. He went on to attend Southwestern University School of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2022. Those years shaped his approach to legal reasoning and argument. They also provided the academic foundation he uses in practice today.

At law school he encountered the practical side of the profession. Classroom theory met client-centered problem solving. He moved from abstract questions in philosophy to applied legal work. The transition is evident in how he frames problems now: clear premises, careful analysis, and an eye for how legal rules affect real people.

After finishing law school, Dermendjian began practicing in California. He joined C&B Law Group, where he took on matters that the firm handles across the state. In that environment he has worked alongside more senior attorneys and taken responsibility for client communication, document preparation, and courtroom appearances when required. Colleagues note that he arrives at questions methodically and follows through on the tasks entrusted to him.

Clients and fellow lawyers describe him as concise in written work and deliberate in oral argument. His background in philosophy shapes that pattern. It shows up in courtroom presentations and in negotiation settings alike. He breaks down complex issues into manageable parts and presents them in plain terms. That approach helps clients understand options and makes it easier for opposing counsel to see the core disputes.

Outside daily casework, Dermendjian has stayed involved in continuing legal education and the practical routines of a busy law office. He has handled filings, taken depositions, and prepared briefs for state court matters. He has also managed client intake and counseling on immediate legal concerns. Those responsibilities reflect a broader role at the firm: assisting clients through the procedural steps that follow a new claim or an urgent legal question.

He is licensed to practice in California and carries his work out from C&B Law Group’s offices. He currently represents clients in matters handled by the firm, providing advice and representation in California state matters.
