About Micol
Micol Mion has a layered academic background that crosses law, literature and the social sciences. She earned a B.A. in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and an M.S. in Criminology from Northeastern University. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and later completed an LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law at the same institution. Mion also holds a Graduate Certificate in Immigration Specialization from the City University of New York and an M.A. in Ancient History from Harvard University.
Her legal career began in the mid-2000s. She served as an associate immigration lawyer at the Law Offices of Ara H. Margosian II. In 2009 she joined Immigration Solutions LLC and is listed there as a partner and immigration lawyer. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Federal Circuit.
Professional affiliations have been a steady part of her practice. Mion has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Boston Bar Association since 2006. She is also listed as part of the International Medical Graduate Taskforce, an indication of ongoing involvement with immigration issues that affect foreign-trained physicians and other medical professionals. Her immigration credentials include a specialist certification from the CUNY Graduate School in Immigration Law.
Mion’s training spans several areas that often intersect in contemporary immigration work. The LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law gives her additional exposure to regulatory and transactional questions that can arise for individuals and businesses navigating cross-border issues. Her criminology study and her law degree inform how she approaches cases involving complex factual and legal analyses, including matters that may proceed to federal appellate courts.
Colleagues describe her practice as one that combines courtroom experience with administrative representation, covering filings before agencies and briefs for higher courts when appropriate. She has maintained an active practice in Massachusetts while participating in professional groups that address both practitioner concerns and policy matters affecting immigrants. She currently practices as a partner at Immigration Solutions LLC, handling immigration matters in Massachusetts and federal courts.
