About Michelle
Michelle Waddoups earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2010. She completed a rigorous course of study during a period of significant change in legal education, emerging with the degree that began her professional path.
After law school, Waddoups established her legal career in Utah. She is licensed to practice in the state and has built a practice rooted in that jurisdiction. Over the years she has worked with a range of clients. Her work has included advising individuals and organizations on matters that arise under state law.
Waddoups maintains current memberships in professional associations. Those connections have kept her engaged with peers and with ongoing developments in the law. Participation in professional groups often shapes how attorneys approach complex questions and helps them stay current with rule changes and procedural updates.
Her training at Cooley Law School provided a foundation in litigation, statutory analysis and client counsel. Those areas are central to many legal practices in Utah. Waddoups’s approach to cases reflects an emphasis on careful preparation and attention to the procedural requirements that govern practice in state courts.
Colleagues and clients have described her as practical in solving legal problems and straightforward in communication. She tends to prioritize clear explanations and managing expectations. That orientation is useful in both courtroom settings and in advisory work where the goal is to help clients understand options and risks.
Outside of courtroom and office work, Waddoups has remained involved in the professional life of the bar through memberships and ongoing education. Staying current is part of practicing in any jurisdiction, and those activities are a regular element of her professional calendar.
Today she continues to practice law in Utah. Her current practice centers on legal matters arising under Utah law.
