About Michelle
Michelle Dahlquist earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Illinois Wesleyan University in 2005. She entered the legal field on the heels of that education and has since built a practice rooted in local court work and bar association involvement. Her academic record provided a foundation in legal research and courtroom procedure that she carried into early professional roles.
Dahlquist joined Momkus McCluskey Roberts, LLC in 2016. Her role there is listed as lawyer, and she has handled matters that brought her into frequent contact with DuPage County courts. In parallel to private practice, she earned certification as a Guardian ad Litem for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in DuPage County, a credential that has shaped part of her casework and involvement in matters concerning the court’s welfare determinations.
Her bar and association work runs deep. In 2014 she was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, a role she continues to hold. She has belonged to the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers since 2008 and served as that group’s secretary from 2011 to 2013. At the DuPage County Bar Association she chaired and vice-chaired the Continuing Legal Education Committee from 2011 to 2013, then took on chair and vice-chair responsibilities for the membership committee from 2013 to 2015. These positions put her in regular contact with local practitioners, court administrators and bar leadership.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and steady in court settings. She balances courtroom obligations with administrative duties in bar groups, often organizing and attending continuing education events. Her Guardian ad Litem certification means she is regularly assigned to evaluate and report on matters where the court requests an independent perspective on a child’s best interests.
Outside of committee work, Dahlquist’s calendar reflects a mix of client representation, court appearances and bar programming. She participates in local bar events and has maintained long-term ties to organizations that support women in the profession. Her experience in DuPage County’s legal community spans more than a decade.
She is currently a lawyer at Momkus McCluskey Roberts, LLC and serves as a certified Guardian ad Litem in DuPage County. Her current practice focuses on client representation and serving in court-appointed Guardian ad Litem roles.
