About Michelle D.
Michelle D. Wynn built a career around tax law and courtroom preparation. She earned a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2011, where she studied tax law and worked in the school's tax clinic. Before that she completed a B.A. in Legal Studies at the University of Central Florida in 2008. Her education blended classroom work and hands-on clinic experience early on.
Her first legal roles came while she was still in law school. She served as a research assistant and legal intern at the Quinnipiac University School of Law Tax Clinic and as a legal extern in The Hartford’s tax law department. She also spent time with the Connecticut Innocence Project and the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General’s Child Protection Unit. Those posts gave her exposure to client work, investigative files and courtroom procedure.
Shortly after law school she joined Parent, Parent & Wynn, LLP and worked there as a partner. That period tied her clinic and internship experience to private practice, where she handled tax controversy matters and client representation before tax authorities. In 2017 she opened Wynn Law, PLLC, which does business as Wynn Tax Law. The move established her as the principal attorney at a practice focused on tax disputes and representation.
Wynn is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Florida. She has been active in bar committees and tax sections. She served on the Connecticut Bar Association’s Professional Discipline Committee from 2012 to 2014 and spent five years on the CBA Tax Section executive committee beginning in 2012. She is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Tax Section and the Florida Bar Tax Section, holding memberships in both since the 2010s. Her committee work involved ethics and professional standards as well as technical tax issues.
Her practice blends contested matters and advisory work. She represents individuals and businesses in disputes with tax agencies, prepares responses to audits and designs settlement proposals. Her background in tax clinic work and public interest internships informs how she approaches client communication and case preparation. She maintains a practice from the firm she founded, handling federal and state tax controversy cases through Wynn Law, PLLC, also known as Wynn Tax Law.
She currently practices tax law at Wynn Law, PLLC, handling tax controversy, IRS representation, and related matters.
