About Michelle
Michelle Aulivola trained at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, earning her Juris Doctor in 2004. She arrived at the law school after undergraduate studies and completed her legal education in the early 2000s. The timeline set the stage for a steady climb through courtroom practice and private firm roles.
She began her legal career at Kramer & Rabinowitz, LLC in 2004, joining the firm as an associate. That first position exposed her to day-to-day litigation work and client counseling. Two years later she moved to Long Tuminello, LLP as an associate lawyer, a change that marked a long-term association with the firm. Her responsibilities grew over the next decade, and in 2012 she became a partner at Long Tuminello. The promotion reflected an expanded role in case strategy, supervision of junior lawyers and management within the firm.
Aulivola maintains active admission in New York state courts and in federal courts covering the region. She is admitted to practice before the Second Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Locally, she is a long-standing member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, where she has taken part in the Supreme Court Committee since 2005. Outside the firm, she contributes pro bono time to Angels for Warriors, providing legal help to veterans and service members through that organization.
Colleagues describe her as steady under pressure and attentive to procedural detail. Her path from associate roles to a partner slot at a regional firm reflects sustained courtroom practice and firm work. Over the years she has balanced casework with committee duties and volunteer legal service. She has worked on matters that required appearances in state and federal venues and on appeals handled in the circuit courts where she is admitted.
Her day-to-day practice is anchored in litigation and court appearances across New York. She files and argues matters in state trial courts and in the federal system, including the Eastern District and the Second Circuit. She remains based at Long Tuminello, LLP, where she continues to handle cases and supervise litigation work for the firm. She practices in state and federal courts across New York, including the Eastern District and the Second Circuit.
