About Michael

Michael Vanasse built his legal foundation at Providence College, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1985. He continued his studies at Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law and earned a J.D. in 1988. Those formative years set the stage for a long career practicing law in Pennsylvania.

After law school Vanasse entered private practice. Over time he gravitated toward matters that touch working people and their families. He became active in organizations that deal with workplace injuries and civil justice, joining the Worker’s Injury Law and Advocacy Group and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He also holds membership in the Lancaster Bar Association, where he has engaged with local legal issues and collegial professional activity.

Vanasse’s courtroom and claim work has emphasized state-level practice. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and has operated his practice through Vanasse Law LLC. His cases have required familiarity with workers’ compensation procedures, administrative hearings, and negotiations with insurers. He handles procedural deadlines, filings before administrative agencies, and the litigation that follows when settlements are not reached.

Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in handling case preparation. He favors careful record review and client interviews early in a matter. Those habits can shape strategy for both hearings and settlement talks. He also participates in professional groups that provide a forum for continuing education and policy discussion, including the Worker’s Injury Law and Advocacy Group and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, which keep him engaged with developments affecting injured workers.

Outside of casework, Vanasse has invested time in the professional community through the Lancaster Bar Association. That involvement has included attendance at bar events and contributing to discussions about practice management and local court processes. He combines courtroom experience and association participation to maintain practical knowledge of Pennsylvania practice.

He currently practices from Vanasse Law LLC in Pennsylvania, where his work centers on workers’ injury matters, administrative advocacy, and related litigation.
