About Michael
Michael Vaghaiwalla built a legal career around family law soon after finishing law school. He earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 2013 and moved into practice in the Orlando area that same year. Early on he joined The Orlando Family Firm, where he handled the day-to-day work of family cases and learned the local practice patterns.
In 2014 Vaghaiwalla became involved with the Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court. He serves on the organization’s board of directors and has remained active there through 2026. The Inns of Court role put him in regular contact with judges, mediators and other family law practitioners. That contact shaped his approach to case preparation and courtroom strategy.
By 2018 he had taken a leadership step. He became a lawyer-shareholder at Greater Orlando Family Law. That title reflects a shift from associate work to a role that combines client work with firm management. He has continued there since, carrying cases for clients and participating in firm decisions. His experience spans contested divorces, equitable distribution questions, custody disputes and related family-law matters.
Certification has been a notable milestone in his professional record. The Florida Bar has recognized him as a Board Certified Specialist in Marital and Family Law. That certification signals a level of peer-recognized experience in the subject area and requires regular continuing education and peer review.
Colleagues describe him as practical in court and thorough in preparation. He tends to take a methodical approach to discovery and preference for clear, document-driven advocacy. He also spends time on settlement options and negotiation when that serves a client’s interests. His practice blends courtroom readiness with attempts to resolve matters outside of trial when possible.
Outside of firm duties, Vaghaiwalla’s work with the Inns of Court has included mentoring newer attorneys and participating in programs aimed at improving professionalism in family law. He has kept his practice rooted in central Florida and in the procedural customs of that local bar.
As of 2026 he continues to practice at Greater Orlando Family Law, handling a range of family-law matters and serving clients in the Orlando area. His current practice focuses on marital and family law matters, including divorce, custody and related proceedings.
