Michael Turner is a criminal defense attorney based in Baytown, Texas — He has been practicing law since 1981, focusing exclusively on criminal defense for over 30 years. His firm, Turner Garrison Law, is located at 1300 Rollingbrook Street, Suite 610, Baytown, TX 77521. Born in Beaumont and raised in Highlands, Turner attended Ross S. Sterling High School and Lee College before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Houston in 1976.
He continued his legal education at the University of Houston Law Center, graduating in 1980. Since his admission to the Texas State Bar on May 15, 1981, Turner has handled many criminal cases, including DWI/DUI, drug offenses, theft, assault, and more serious charges like murder and sexual assault. He has tried approximately 200 jury trials in various counties, including Harris, Liberty, and Chambers. Turner is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
The East Harris County Bar Association, where he has served as past president. His two children, April Turner Garrison and Christopher M. Turner, followed in his footsteps and joined Turner Garrison Law after passing the Texas Bar. April was admitted to practice on May 5, 2010, and Christopher on May 4, 2012.
