About Michael S

Michael S Henningsen is an attorney admitted to practice in New Jersey. He brought an early interest in labor and workplace issues to law school, where he earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2020 after completing a B.S. in Labor Studies and Employment Relations at Rutgers University in 2017. Those formative years shaped the practical instincts he later applied on the bench and in private practice.

After law school, Henningsen served as a judicial law clerk for the New Jersey Courts, Union Vicinage, in the Chancery Division, General Equity Part. The clerkship placed him in the middle of complex equitable disputes and the procedures that govern them. He worked closely with judges on motions, opinions, and case management, gaining a detailed view of how New Jersey courts evaluate remedies and equitable relief.

Following his time in the courthouse, Henningsen joined Mets, Schiro & McGovern, LLP as an associate. There he moved from advising judges to representing clients, applying his courtroom experience to drafting pleadings, preparing discovery, and participating in hearings. The transition to private practice broadened his exposure to client counseling and case strategy. It also allowed him to test legal theories he had observed in the Chancery Division in an advocacy setting.

Henningsen’s academic background in labor studies informs how he approaches workplace-related matters. He combines that subject knowledge with hands-on experience from his clerkship and work at a litigation firm. The result is an attorney who understands both the procedural aspects of equity cases and the substantive context of employment and labor issues. He tends to approach problems with careful legal research and attention to how courts have resolved similar disputes.

He currently practices at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. in New Jersey. At the firm he handles matters that draw on his chancery court experience and his academic training in labor and employment relations, providing representation informed by both courtroom procedure and workplace law.
