About Michael S Brandner
Michael S Brandner Jr. built his legal foundation through successive degrees in political science, law and tax. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1999, followed by a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans in 2002. He then completed an LL.M. in Tax Law at Boston University in 2003.
After finishing his education, Brandner moved into private practice and courtroom preparation. He established Brandner Law Office in 2007 and has served as its owner since then. Over the years he has developed a practice rooted in litigation. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and operates from offices in Baton Rouge and Metairie.
Brandner has pursued formal trial training beyond law school. He attended the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s trial techniques program in 2007 and completed the Trial Lawyers Course at the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer College in 2011. Those programs are reflected in his memberships in professional organizations that emphasize trial work. He holds current memberships in the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Colleagues and clients describe a lawyer who brings courtroom preparation and tax-law study to bear on his cases. Brandner’s LL.M. in Tax Law provides an additional technical background when matters involve tax questions or complex financial elements. His trial coursework and association memberships point to regular courtroom practice rather than a purely transactional role.
Brandner maintains by-appointment offices in Baton Rouge and Metairie under the umbrella of Brandner Law Office, LLC. He manages the firm’s operations and continues to handle matters in Louisiana jurisdictions where he is admitted. His current practice concentrates on litigation in Louisiana, drawing on his tax law training and trial education.
