About Michael P
Michael P Vanderhoff earned his Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law in 2012 after completing undergraduate studies in computer science at Southern Oregon University in 2005. He followed a nontraditional path into law, combining a technical background with legal training. That mix of studies informs how he approaches client problems and case strategy.
Early in his career he worked as an associate at Arant & Broesder, LLC. That role exposed him to the day-to-day demands of client representation and courtroom procedure. He began practicing under his own name in 2012, opening Michael P. Vanderhoff, LLC, a private practice based in Oregon.
Vanderhoff holds a license as a real estate agent through the Oregon Real Estate Agency. He integrates that credential into his legal work, advising clients on transactional and title issues as well as the regulatory aspects of property matters. He also handles civil disputes arising from real estate relationships and contractual disagreements.
In 2019 he served as a pro tem municipal court judge for the City of Medford. In that capacity he presided over municipal dockets on a temporary basis and adjudicated routine violations and hearings. The judicial role added a different perspective to his practice and gave him experience managing courtroom calendars and making procedural rulings.
He maintains active membership in the Jackson County Bar Association and holds other current professional memberships in the region. Those affiliations keep him engaged with local legal developments and provide a network for referrals and co-counsel work. Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and straightforward in client communications.
Today Vanderhoff operates through Michael P. Vanderhoff, LLC and represents clients across Oregon. His work crosses transactional and litigation lines, with frequent matters involving real estate transactions, municipal proceedings, and general civil litigation. He manages both client counseling and courtroom appearances in his current practice.
