In January 2024, the Washington Supreme Court suspended Ewetuga from practicing law for six months, effective January 17, 2024, due to violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct. These violations included engaging in a sexual relationship with a client during representation and failing to fully explain a reduction in his attorney fees. The suspension was followed by 24 months of probation upon reinstatement.
Prior to his suspension, Ewetuga served on the Civil Rights Law Section Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association from October 2011 to September 2013, holding positions as Chair-elect and Chair. He was also a member of the Pro Bono and Legal Aid Committee from October 2008 to September 2009.
