Michael Millar is an attorney based in Toms River, New Jersey, with over 30 years of experience in various legal fields, including business law, consumer protection, and real estate litigation. After completing his military service, he pursued a legal education at Vermont Law School, where he earned his J.D. in 1992. During his time at Vermont Law School, he was an associate editor of the law review and completed an internship with the Environmental Crimes Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, gaining valuable insights into federal legal processes. Admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1993, Pennsylvania in 1992, and New York in 2011, Mr.
Millar has developed a diverse legal practice. His focus on commercial litigation involves both prosecuting and defending claims under consumer protection laws, particularly the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. His clientele includes many entities—from individuals to Fortune 500 companies—encompassing real estate brokers, title insurance companies, insurance brokers, and mortgage companies. This breadth of experience allows him to navigate complex legal fields effectively. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Millar has substantial experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has participated in over 1,000 real estate closings and has litigated more than 100 real estate disputes. His expertise covers a variety of issues, including construction defects, mortgage complications, title disputes, and environmental permits.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Millar has been teaching business law and risk management at the University of Phoenix for the past ten years.
