About Michael
Michael Kotik earned his undergraduate degree in Information Systems Technology from Drexel University before returning to the same campus for law school. He completed his Juris Doctor at Drexel in 2007. Those years combined technical training and legal study, a background that shaped a practical approach to problem solving early in his career.
He began acquiring hands-on legal experience while still in school. In 2008 he worked as a legal intern for Orleans Home Builders, taking part in day-to-day matters that introduced him to transactional and administrative aspects of practice. The following year he served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Philadelphia District Lawyer’s Office. That position placed him in a public-sector setting where he worked alongside prosecutors and staff attorneys on assigned matters.
After law school Kotik spent time in private practice. In 2011 he joined the Law Office of Thomas Kenny, Esq. as an associate. His time there exposed him to the demands of client representation in a small-firm environment. He also spent a year tutoring bar candidates; from 2011 to 2012 he worked with Tutor4MBE, helping examinees prepare for the multistate bar exam.
Kotik’s path reflects steady movement through different legal settings. Internships introduced him to practical tasks and courtroom preparation. A stint in a public defender-type office followed. Then came private-firm experience that brought client counsel and litigation support into view. That mix informs how he approaches matters now—methodical, attentive to detail, and comfortable in both collaborative and sole-responsibility roles.
He practices under the name Law Offices of Lawyer Michael Kotik Esquire, P.C. The office handles intake, client advising, and case management from that platform. Kotik draws on his technical undergraduate training and his legal education when evaluating cases and mapping strategy. He has combined direct case work with occasional teaching and tutoring roles over the years.
Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in his work habits, and clients have encountered a lawyer who prioritizes clear explanations over jargon. He continues to handle cases and client consultations through his firm. He currently practices from the Law Offices of Lawyer Michael Kotik Esquire, P.C., handling a range of client matters.
