Michael John Hemming is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1977. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Hemming is the principal attorney at Hemming Law APC, a law firm located in Pomona, California. He has been practicing law for over 48 years, serving clients throughout Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Hemming earned his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in 1976. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University at Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics in 1971. During his time at Western State University, he focused on trial practice in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Hemming concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, bankruptcy, and workers' compensation. He represents individuals who have sustained injuries due to accidents, medical malpractice, and other incidents. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hemming has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate attorney at the Law Office of Michael J. Hemming & Associates from 2006 to 2011 and as a senior law clerk and case manager at the same firm from 1981 to 2006.
Mr. Hemming is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He has attended various trial advocacy seminars, including those offered by the Orange County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ).
