About Michael J

Michael J Posner built his career around real estate law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1985. He moved into practice soon after and has spent decades handling property matters in Florida.

He began his legal training in law school, where courses in property, contracts, and real estate finance shaped his early interests. After graduation he entered private practice and steadily expanded the scope of his work. Over time he has advised clients on purchases, sales, title issues and closing procedures. He also has handled disputes that arise out of real estate transactions.

Posner is admitted to practice in Florida and is authorized to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Those credentials have allowed him to work on matters that require both state and federal attention. He maintains current memberships in professional associations and stays connected to colleagues across the bench and bar.

His day-to-day work blends transactional and litigation elements. He prepares and reviews contracts, conducts title examinations, negotiates easements and covenants, and represents clients at closings. When disputes emerge he moves into litigation, handling motions, discovery and courtroom hearings as needed. Clients include individuals, developers and small business owners who seek practical solutions to concrete problems.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in approaching complex files. He breaks problems into discrete tasks and prioritizes clear documentation. That approach matters in real estate work, where a missed clause or an unclear title history can create lasting consequences. He has built systems for tracking deadlines and coordinating with title companies, lenders and surveyors.

Outside of casework he has participated in continuing legal education and has kept up with changes in Florida property law. He follows decisions from state courts and the Eleventh Circuit that affect title, zoning, and transactional risk. He also watches legislative developments that alter closing procedures or recording requirements.

Today he practices as a real estate lawyer in Florida. His practice handles transactional matters, title issues, closings and related disputes and represents clients before state and federal tribunals as appropriate. His current practice focuses on real estate transactions, title work and litigation arising from property deals.
