About Michael J.

Michael J. Grace has practiced law in Massachusetts and before federal tribunals for decades. He built his legal foundation at Dartmouth College, earning an A.B. in 1979, and completed his legal studies at the University of Virginia School of Law in 1982. Those years shaped his understanding of law and public process and set the stage for a long career in court and counsel work.

After law school, Grace entered private practice and has remained active in the regional legal community since. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and appears regularly in federal venues, including the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Over time he has worked at firms listed under the Raipher name and is associated with Raipher D. Pellegrino Associates, P.C., where he continues to practice.

Grace’s courtroom experience spans state and federal matters. He handles litigation that requires appearances in trial and appellate settings and manages preparation for hearings and filings in specialized federal forums. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he approaches filings and courtroom presentations with an emphasis on clear legal reasoning and attention to procedural detail. He is comfortable in settings that range from bench hearings to appellate briefs.

Outside of his casework, Grace participates in the professional life of the bar. He holds membership in the Massachusetts State Bar and maintains the relationships such memberships encourage. He has worked alongside other lawyers in the firm environment and has taken part in matters that require coordination across counsel and within court schedules. He keeps current on procedural developments affecting practice in both state and federal courts.

Today, Grace practices at Raipher D. Pellegrino Associates, P.C., where he continues to represent clients in matters brought in Massachusetts courts and in the federal courts to which he is admitted. He concentrates his practice on litigated matters in both state and federal courts.
