About Michael
Michael Fallings built his legal foundation at Miami University, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in 2010, and at American University Washington College of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2013. He moved from classroom to courtroom early. His training included internships and clerkships that exposed him to courts and government practice across several jurisdictions.
As a law student and recent graduate, Fallings worked in a variety of public and private settings. He spent time as a Diversity Pipeline Scholar and legal intern at a public defender’s office in York County. He served as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice and held multiple judicial internships, including placements at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and the Court of Appeals of Maryland. In 2012 and 2013 he also took on clerk roles at law firms and at the City of Chicago Department of Law in the Labor Division, experiences that added practical courtroom and administrative exposure to his résumé.
Fallings began his post-bar practice as an associate at Morris E. Fischer, LLC in 2014. He joined Tully Rinckey PLLC in 2017 as an associate, became a partner in 2019, and was elevated to managing partner in 2022. Over that period he expanded his litigation and counseling work and took on firm leadership duties. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Texas, and he holds admission in both the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Maryland U.S. District Court.
His memberships reflect an interest in employment and business issues. He belongs to the Washington Employment Lawyers Association and maintains ties to Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity he joined earlier in his career. Those associations align with the matters he frequently handles: employment disputes, administrative hearings and civil litigation on behalf of individual and institutional clients.
Colleagues describe him as an attorney who has combined litigation experience with administrative practice and firm management. As managing partner he has overseen casework and operational matters while continuing to appear in court and administrative forums. He practices at Tully Rinckey PLLC and currently focuses on employment litigation, administrative proceedings and related civil matters.
