Michael Earl Garner is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Garner is the founder and managing attorney at Cornerstone Law Center, Inc., a law firm located at 100 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Suite 258, Thousand Oaks, California. He has been practicing law for over 31 years, serving clients throughout the Thousand Oaks area and surrounding regions.
Mr. Garner earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of La Verne College of Law in 1994. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Northridge, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance in 1990. During his time at the University of La Verne, he also attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where he studied Family Law in 1996.
Mr. Garner concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, probate administration, and business planning. He represents individuals and families in matters involving wills, trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, and asset protection. His practice encompasses all stages of legal work, including initial case evaluation, document preparation, negotiations, and court proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Garner has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Ventura and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding Cornerstone Law Center, Inc., he worked as an associate at Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton from 1998 to 2001 and as an attorney at Buchanan Law & Mediation Center from 2001 to 2017.
Mr. Garner is an active member of the California State Bar Association and holds certifications as a Certified Financial Planner and as a California Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Loving Heart Hospice Foundation and is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association. Mr. Garner is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas effectively.
