About Michael
Michael Brevda attended the University of Florida before earning his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He entered the legal profession after completing his studies and built a practice that crosses state and federal lines.
Early in his career Brevda developed experience in civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Over time he has taken on matters that require familiarity with both state court procedures and federal appellate practice.
Brevda is active in professional associations. He is a current member of the American Association for Justice and the Florida Justice Association, and he belongs to the Palm Beach County Justice Association. He also serves as a contributing member of the AAJ Nursing Home Litigation Group. Those memberships have kept him connected to developments in trial practice and plaintiff-side litigation strategies.
Peers and clients have recognized his work; Brevda holds an AV Rating (5.0) from Martindale-Hubbell. That peer-review rating is one measure used in the profession to signal standing among other attorneys. He has applied that recognition in cases and in collaborative settings with other plaintiff attorneys.
His practice has included cases in a range of venues. He has handled matters in state courts and pursued appeals when necessary at the federal level, including filings before the Federal Circuit. He has represented clients on issues related to personal injury and care-facility litigation, among other civil claims. He brings courtroom experience to settlement talks and trials alike.
Brevda operates from multiple offices and often works on cases that require coverage across jurisdictions. He is associated with the Senior Justice Law Office and maintains a presence in regional offices including Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Rochester and Washington. That geographic spread reflects the cross-jurisdictional nature of many of the matters he handles.
Colleagues point to his steady participation in professional groups and his courtroom work as central aspects of his profile. He continues to engage in litigation work, contribute to group efforts on nursing home litigation, and represent clients in civil matters across the jurisdictions where he is admitted. He currently concentrates his practice on civil litigation matters, including nursing home and personal-injury cases.
