About Michael B

Michael B Fusco earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2010, where he concentrated on intellectual property. He came of age as a lawyer in a period of rapid technological change. The classroom training he received at Seton Hall set the groundwork for a practice that sits at the intersection of law and innovation.

After law school, Fusco took the steps required to practice in two neighboring jurisdictions. He is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey. That dual admission has allowed him to work on matters that cross state lines and to advise clients whose operations do the same.

Fusco’s professional path has been shaped by intellectual property issues. He has handled a range of matters related to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. His work has involved both transactional and contentious matters. He has prepared applications and filings, assisted in portfolio management and been involved in disputes where protection and enforcement of rights were at stake.

Colleagues and clients have looked to Fusco for practical legal advice grounded in technical understanding. He moves between legal analysis and business concerns. That ability to translate technical concepts into clear legal positions has been a throughline in his practice.

He has spent time in roles that required close collaboration with inventors, entrepreneurs and corporate clients. Those experiences gave him familiarity with the commercial realities that shape IP strategies. He also spent time working with outside counsel and in-house teams to coordinate filings and to set enforcement priorities.

Fusco takes a methodical approach to legal problems. He examines the facts, evaluates the legal tools available, and lays out options for clients. He favors clear explanations and practical roadmaps over theoretical treatments. In situations that call for litigation, he prepares cases with attention to both legal detail and case narrative.

Outside the office, Fusco keeps up with changes in IP law and practice. The field evolves quickly, and he monitors developments that could affect clients’ rights and strategies. That ongoing attention helps him assess risk and identify opportunities for protection.

He currently practices intellectual property law in New York and New Jersey, handling matters that range from portfolio development to enforcement and dispute resolution.
