About Michael A.

Michael A. Hill built his legal foundation in the classrooms of Oberlin College and Case Western Reserve University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at Oberlin, studying philosophy, Jewish studies, and law and society, and completed his Juris Doctor at Case Western Reserve School of Law in 2011. While in law school he worked as a research assistant and legal intern, roles that introduced him to trial work and civil litigation research.

After law school, Hill stayed in Cleveland's litigation community. He served as a law clerk at Spangenberg Shibley & Liber LLP in 2010 and moved into an associate role there after earning his degree. Those early years gave him hands-on courtroom experience and steady exposure to plaintiff-side civil cases. He carried those lessons forward when he co-founded Eadie Hill Trial Lawyers in 2017, taking on partner-level responsibilities and more complex trials.

Hill's practice path continued to shift toward independent trial work. In 2024 he launched Michael Hill Trial Law and took the title of founder and lead trial lawyer. The transition marked a move from a partnership model to a single-attorney firm built around courtroom practice and client representation. Throughout his career he has been licensed to practice in Ohio and admitted to appear in the Sixth Circuit.

Collegial involvement has been a steady part of Hill's professional life. Since 2012 he has held memberships in several bar and trial organizations, including the Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Those memberships reflect a continued tie to the local and national trial bar and provide regular forums for case law updates, trial technique, and professional networking.

Hill's record is rooted in courtroom practice rather than academic posts or public office. He accumulated trial experience through firm work and runs his current practice from Cleveland. Colleagues describe him as a practitioner who emphasizes preparation, straightforward argument, and attention to factual detail. Clients see a lawyer who has moved methodically from clerkship and associate work to partnership and then to a solo trial practice.

He maintains an active practice in civil litigation and handles cases that require trial presentation in Ohio and in the Sixth Circuit. His current practice focuses on trial litigation and client representation in state and federal courts.
