Meredith Riley Brown is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Brown is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Meredith R. Brown, a firm located in Glendale, California. She has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Ms. Brown earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she graduated in 1996. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Occidental College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. During her time at Loyola Law School, she was actively involved in various legal organizations and participated in community service projects.
Ms. Brown concentrates her practice in the area of immigration law. She represents individuals and families in matters involving family-based immigration petitions, asylum applications, deportation defense, and naturalization proceedings. Her practice encompasses all stages of immigration proceedings, including initial case evaluation, preparation and filing of applications, representation in hearings before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Brown has handled cases in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also appeared before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in various immigration courts. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate attorney at a mid-size immigration law firm in Glendale for five years.
Ms. Brown is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Immigration Section, serving on its Executive Committee since 2000. She is also a member of the National Immigration Project and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1997. Ms. Brown is fluent in Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
