About Melissa L.

Melissa L. Isaak built a layered education before she ever set foot in a courtroom. She earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Troy University’s Dothan campus and followed that with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice at Troy University's Troy campus. She then completed legal studies at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2007. Those degrees map a path from human services to the law.

Early in her career Isaak bridged those fields. Her coursework in counseling and criminal justice gave her perspective on how people interact with the legal system. She moved steadily into legal practice, taking on the tasks that come with building a small firm and serving individual clients. Over time she established the Isaak Law Office and expanded its footprint to serve clients in multiple locations.

Isaak is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Florida. She maintains active ties to both states’ legal communities and manages a caseload that crosses state lines when necessary. Her dual licensure allows her to advise clients whose matters touch on laws in either jurisdiction. Colleagues and clients note that her background in counseling informs the way she prepares clients for hearings and trials and how she communicates case strategy.

Her approach to cases is methodical. She assesses facts, evaluates legal options and explains likely outcomes in plain language. That style grew out of training in two different disciplines. The criminal justice degree sharpened her understanding of procedure and evidence. The counseling degree influenced her work with clients coping with stressful circumstances. The combination has shaped how she organizes cases and handles client interviews.

At the Isaak Law Office she oversees daily operations and client service. The firm maintains multiple offices, and Isaak divides her time between client meetings, case preparation and court appearances. She has worked on matters that require coordination across jurisdictions and often consults with local counsel when cases involve unfamiliar state rules.

Outside the office Isaak keeps up with continuing legal education and professional developments in both Alabama and Florida. She remains active in routine bar requirements and professional networks, seeking practical solutions for clients rather than sweeping legal theory.

She currently practices law through the Isaak Law Office, representing clients in matters across Alabama and Florida.
