About Meg

Meg Strickler built a career at the intersection of criminal justice and public commentary. She studied criminal justice at the University of Delaware and went on to earn her law degree from Emory University School of Law. Those early choices set the tone for a practice that blends courtroom work, media explanation, and professional association involvement.

She completed a B.A. in Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware in 1991 and received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1997. Before and after law school she also earned a paralegal certification from The Philadelphia Institute, a credential that informed her early procedural work and case preparation.

Strickler has worked both in private practice and in the media. In 2005 she served as a legal analyst for national and international outlets, including Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, Court TV, and CNN International. She also provided commentary for local outlets such as 11 Alive in Atlanta and for Global News. Those appearances required translating complex legal issues into clear language for a wide audience.

In private practice she is a partner at Conaway & Strickler, P.C. The firm listing associates her name with a traditional litigation and defense practice. Her courtroom work ranges from state-level matters to federal litigation in multiple districts. She combines trial preparation and courtroom experience with the kind of case-management skills that the paralegal training reinforced early in her career.

Strickler is admitted in several jurisdictions. She holds licenses in California, New York, and Georgia, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York as well as the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia. Those admissions support a practice that crosses state lines and federal boundaries.

Her professional memberships list a broad engagement with the legal community. She is a member of the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, ITechLaw, and a range of criminal defense organizations including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Georgia and New York state associations. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and holds membership in the U.S. Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the Georgia Justice Project.

Today she practices from Conaway & Strickler, P.C., handling criminal defense and white-collar matters in state and federal courts while maintaining an active presence in professional groups and occasional media commentary. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense and related federal litigation.
