About Meagan

Meagan Moodie earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2012 after completing a liberal arts undergraduate program at Regis University in 2008, where she studied sociology, political science and English. Those academic years laid a foundation in both legal analysis and written advocacy. She moved from the Midwest to Denver shortly after law school and has practiced in Colorado since.

Her early legal training included internships and a clerkship that exposed her to criminal defense, public interest practice and the workings of the trial court. In 2010 she interned with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office. The following year she worked in the Saint Louis University Legal Clinic. After graduation she served as a judicial law clerk at Denver District Court in 2012, assisting judges with research and drafting opinions.

By 2014 Moodie had taken on a leadership role in private practice. She became the managing lawyer at The Moodie Law Office that year. Around the same time she also volunteered as a guardian ad litem for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, representing the interests of children in court proceedings. That mix of courtroom work and child welfare advocacy shaped her approach to litigation and client service.

Her professional affiliations reflect a range of trial and bar activity. She has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association since 2012. She joined the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association in 2013 and has served on committees there. Since 2014 she has also held affiliate membership in the Colorado Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Association. These memberships signal ongoing participation in plaintiff-side practice groups and women’s legal networks within the state.

Moodie’s practice has centered on litigated matters and plaintiff-side employment issues, informed by courtroom experience and public defender and guardian ad litem work earlier in her career. She maintains an active practice based in Denver as the managing lawyer of The Moodie Law Office, where she handles civil litigation and employment claims on behalf of individual clients.
