About Maxwell
Maxwell Mahoney earned his Juris Doctor from Arizona Summit Law School in 2011 after beginning his legal studies in 2008. He came out of law school into an Arizona legal market that prizes courtroom experience and practical skills. His education set a foundation for litigation work and appellate practice.
Soon after completing his degree Mahoney gained admission to practice in Arizona. Over time he expanded his credentials to include the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and admission to the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that regularly involves federal courts and appellate work as part of its docket.
Mahoney has spent his career handling matters that move between trial courts and higher tribunals. He has taken cases through the briefing process and argued in federal appellate settings. His courtroom time includes preparing records, drafting appellate briefs and delivering oral argument when cases require it. He approaches each matter with attention to procedural detail and an eye for the issues likely to shape appellate review.
Outside client representation, Mahoney keeps active in the local legal community. He serves on the Board of Editors for Maricopa Lawyer, the newspaper of the Maricopa County Bar Association, where he contributes to legal writing and the presentation of news for area attorneys. He also participates in the Maricopa County Volunteer Lawyers Program, providing pro bono assistance to community members in need of legal help. Those roles reflect a sustained involvement in the bar and in public-service work within Maricopa County.
Mahoney is currently at Berkshire Law Office. His practice spans state and federal courts and includes appellate proceedings before the Ninth Circuit and, on occasion, matters suitable for Supreme Court filing. He counsels clients through complex procedural stages and represents them in hearings and appeals. He currently practices at Berkshire Law Office, where his work centers on appellate and civil litigation matters.
