About Maura

Maura Greene has spent decades in Massachusetts courts and law offices. She arrived at the practice after a steady academic run: a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College in 1978, followed by a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1982. Those credentials set the stage for a long career in private practice.

Her early years after law school included roles that prepared her for partnership and practice ownership. By 2007 she was a partner at Keegan Werlin, LLP, working alongside other attorneys on cases and client matters. Partnership introduced administrative responsibilities and deeper client work. It also gave her a platform to refine how she managed files and counselled clients.

In 2013 she established the Law Office of Maura Greene LLC. That move marked a shift from firm partner to practice owner. Running her own office meant handling the business side of law as well as the legal work: staffing decisions, client intake, billing and the daily judgment calls every small firm must make. The office name reflected a hands-on approach to client service and a desire to offer steady counsel at the local level.

Over time the practice evolved into the Maura Greene Law Group. The change in name mirrors a practice that has adapted to client needs and the realities of modern legal work. Throughout, she has maintained a Massachusetts practice and appeared in state forums. Her work has balanced case management, client counseling and the procedural work that occupies much of trial and transactional work.

Colleagues describe her as a lawyer who keeps a clear ledger of priorities: the client matter first, then the logistics that let a case move forward. That practical orientation has guided how she approaches problem solving and case strategy. She has handled matters that required courtroom appearances, negotiations and written submissions. She has also handled the everyday legal questions that bring individuals and businesses to a local attorney’s door.

Now in practice under the Maura Greene Law Group banner, she combines years of private-practice experience with the administrative lessons of firm leadership. She continues to serve clients across Massachusetts, offering counsel, representation and the steady management of legal matters. She currently concentrates her practice on representing clients in Massachusetts through the Maura Greene Law Group.
