Maud Poudat is a board-certified immigration attorney based in Orlando, Florida. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2004 and has been practicing law for over two decades. In 2010, she achieved board certification in Immigration and Nationality Law—a distinction held by fewer than 100 attorneys in Florida. This certification shows her expertise in a complex area of law that is critical for many individuals and families seeking to navigate the immigration system. Born in Nantes, France, Ms. Poudat earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Université de Droit de Nantes in 2001. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at Drake University Law School, graduating in 2003.
After passing the Florida Bar examination, she began her legal career in May 2004 as an associate attorney at Mair, Mair & Assoc., P.A. There, she handled a diverse range of cases, including civil litigation, criminal law, medical malpractice, and immigration. This early experience laid a solid foundation for her future specialization in immigration law. In November 2004, she joined Maney & Gordon, P.A. in Orlando, where her career progressed rapidly. By 2008, she had advanced to the position of Managing Attorney and became Managing Partner in 2009. This leadership role allowed her to further hone her skills in immigration law, preparing her for the establishment of her own practice.
In June 2010, she founded the Law Office of Maud Poudat, P.A., focusing on business immigration, green card applications, family and employment sponsorships, marriage visas, naturalization, and deportation defense. In 2018, Ms. Poudat co-founded Vazquez & Poudat, PLLC, alongside fellow board-certified attorney Suzanne E — Vazquez. Additionally, she serves on the Immigration and Nationality Law Certification Committee of the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of the Florida Bar. Fluent in both English and French, she is also actively involved in the French community in Orlando, participating in organizations like the French American Business Council of Orlando and the French American Business Chamber of the West Coast of Florida.
