About Matthew T.
Matthew T. Lallier built a path from political science to courtroom work. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Union College in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Massachusetts School of Law in 2008, concentrating on litigation. That academic background set the tone for a career spent largely in contested matters and trial work.
He began his legal career in 2008 as a legal analyst at Bloomberg LP. A year later he joined LALLIER MUNROE PC as a partner. That early mix of research, analysis and firm-side practice gave him experience on both the technical and client-facing sides of law. It also anchored him in Massachusetts legal circles.
In 2015 he moved into litigation work at Jason Stone Injury Lawyers. He handled cases that required courtroom presence and direct client advocacy. In 2018 he opened the Law Office of Matthew T. Lallier, Esq., stepping into solo practice and managing his own caseload. In 2019 he took a senior lawyer role at the Law Office of Joel H. Schwartz, P.C., where he continued to handle contested matters and court appearances. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and in the US District Court of Massachusetts.
Lallier’s training in litigation shows in the types of matters he has pursued. His professional experience spans civil litigation and personal injury claims, including hands-on case preparation, negotiation and courtroom advocacy. He has worked for both individual plaintiffs and within firm structures that pursue injury claims, which exposed him to the procedural and substantive demands of trial and pretrial work. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases and decisive when matters move toward trial.
He practices in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and has handled matters at different stages of litigation. His work reflects the litigation concentration he pursued in law school and the plaintiff-side experience from his time at injury firms. He currently practices at Joel H. Schwartz P.C., representing clients in civil litigation and personal injury matters in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
