About Matthew
Matthew Stein built a practice around the everyday consequences of collisions. He studied law at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, earning his J.D. with a concentration in civil litigation. The coursework and clinic experience there prepared him for courtroom work and the procedural demands of personal injury claims.
He began his legal career in 2009 at an Omaha personal injury firm. Those early years were spent handling client intake, drafting pleadings and appearing in state court. The work was often routine and sometimes urgent. It also offered steady exposure to the kinds of facts and legal issues that recur in auto-accident litigation.
Over time Stein moved into roles with greater responsibility. He joined Oval Car Accident Law and now serves as a partner. In that role he handles case strategy, supervises litigation teams and negotiates settlements. He has worked on matters that require assembling medical records, engaging experts and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial.
Stein is licensed to practice in Nebraska. He is a current member of the Nebraska Association of Trial Lawyers. Colleagues describe him as methodical; clients say he is approachable. He tends to break complex injury claims into concrete tasks. That habit shows up in how he prepares a case: start with the basics, document the chain of care, and build toward damages and liability theories.
In court he favors clear presentation over rhetorical flourish. His filings aim to make facts accessible to judges and jurors. When settlement is an option he pursues it, provided the terms meet the client's needs. When a case is headed to trial he moves the file into trial posture and presses forward.
Outside litigation he spends time keeping up with changes in Nebraska tort law and trial practice. He attends continuing legal education and participates in professional gatherings through his trial-lawyer association. He also mentors younger lawyers in his office, sharing practical advice about pleadings, witness preparation and trial logistics.
He maintains his practice in Nebraska and represents clients in car-accident and other personal injury matters. He currently represents plaintiffs in car-accident and related personal injury claims in Nebraska.
