About Matthew S.
Matthew S. Daniel built his professional path around two rigorous programs at Southern Methodist University and an earlier liberal arts education at the University of Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma from 1995 to 1999 and earned a B.A. in 1999. He returned to Dallas for graduate study, completing an MBA in 2003 and a J.D. in 2006 at Southern Methodist University.
After law school, Daniel established himself in litigation circles and sought admission to practice in both Texas and California. His membership in trial lawyer organizations dates back to 2007, when he joined the American Association for Justice. He also joined the board of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association that same year and has continued in that role, a sign of long-standing engagement with the trial bar.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in the courtroom. He has spent much of his career handling contested matters that require motion practice, discovery strategy and courtroom presentation. That work has kept him involved in the practical side of trial law: taking depositions, arguing evidentiary issues and managing complex schedules. He values clear written advocacy and steady case management as essentials to effective representation.
Outside of daily casework he has contributed time to professional groups that shape trial practice. His years on the board of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association have involved meetings, committee work and mentoring younger lawyers. In the American Association for Justice he has participated in discussions about trial procedure and civil justice issues. Those memberships have kept him connected to changes in rules, technology and courtroom practice.
Daniel practices from the Dallas office and handles matters in both Texas and California. He balances litigation tasks at the pretrial stage and in court, advising clients on procedural strategy and the practical risks of trial. He remains based in Dallas and continues to serve clients who need representation in jurisdictions where he is licensed to practice law.
