About Matthew Ryan
Matthew Ryan Price grew up with an interest in law that led him to the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2015. He completed his legal education in Oklahoma's law school system and began building practical experience immediately after graduation.
His first role out of law school was as a junior associate at Matthew Neill Davis, PLLC in 2015. That position introduced him to the day-to-day demands of private practice. He handled office responsibilities and learned case preparation, client interactions and the procedural work that supports litigation.
In 2016 he moved into public service as an assistant district lawyer in the Muskogee County District Lawyer’s Office. That job put him in court regularly and gave him a close view of prosecutorial work and courtroom procedure. The experience broadened his grasp of trial practice and the pressures of a public office handling matters for the county.
Three years after joining the bar, he became a partner at Hammons & Price, PLLC in 2018. As a partner he assumed greater responsibility for case strategy and firm operations. His role at the firm reflects a shift from early-career support tasks to managing matters, advising clients and directing litigation efforts alongside colleagues.
He is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and holds memberships in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Oklahoma, where his admission dates to 2015, and for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, both of which list his membership beginning in 2018. Those admissions allow him to appear in federal court across the state.
Colleagues note that his path has combined private practice, public-sector courtroom experience and firm leadership. He has worked on matters at the county level and in federal court. That combination informs how he approaches case evaluation and courtroom preparation.
As a lawyer who moved quickly from associate to partner, he has developed a practice that spans courtroom appearances and client counseling. He maintains professional ties through his federal court memberships and continues to handle matters in Oklahoma courts. He currently practices at Hammons & Price, PLLC, where he handles both state and federal court matters.
