About Matthew

Matthew Myers earned his undergraduate degree from Austin College in 2011, where he studied economics and Spanish. He went on to Baylor Law School and received his J.D. in 2014. Those years in east Texas shaped his legal education and gave him the language skills and analytical training he would later bring to immigration practice.

After law school, Myers entered practice at Foster LLP as an immigration lawyer. He joined the firm in 2014 and spent the early years of his career handling a variety of immigration matters. His time there offered courtroom exposure and experience with administrative processes at the agency level.

In 2020 he started Myers Immigration Law and took on the role of founder and managing lawyer. He built the practice to address the needs he saw while at Foster LLP. Overseeing casework and office operations became part of his day-to-day responsibilities as he shaped the office’s approach to client service.

Myers is admitted to practice in Texas. He represents clients across the state and navigates both agency procedures and court filings on their behalf. His work touches on both individual clients and family units, and he manages cases that move through administrative channels and, when necessary, into litigation.

Colleagues say he is methodical in preparing files and attentive to procedural detail. He combines written advocacy with client counseling, breaking complex rules down into practical steps for people who are often facing stressful situations. He also uses his Spanish-language training to communicate with clients for whom English is a second language.

He maintains current membership in professional associations and stays engaged with developments in immigration policy and practice. That involvement helps him keep current on changes that affect eligibility, processing, and enforcement. He has focused his continuing learning on the mechanics of petitions, relief applications, and administrative procedure.

As managing lawyer at Myers Immigration Law, he oversees client intake and directs litigation strategy when cases require court action. He balances casework, supervision, and practice administration. He currently leads Myers Immigration Law and represents clients in Texas immigration matters.
