About Matthew Michael
Matthew Michael Loker built his legal foundation at the University of Toledo, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Social Thought in 2008. He continued his studies at California Western School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2011. Those academic years shaped the practical side of his training and prepared him for practice in California.
After law school Loker entered private practice. In 2011 he joined Kazerouni Law Group, APC as a partner. He spent the early part of his career there, working on the day-to-day demands of a busy firm and gaining experience in client advocacy and firm operations. The record shows a steady progression from associate-level responsibilities to roles that required managing files and coordinating with other lawyers and staff.
In 2019 he launched his own firm, Loker Law, APC. As owner, he handles the administrative tasks that come with running a small law office alongside his legal work. That combination of responsibilities means he balances case strategy with the practicalities of client intake, billing, and supervising any supporting staff. The move to open his own practice also reflects a desire to control the way matters are handled and to shape the client experience directly.
Loker maintains ties to the local legal community. He is a current member of the San Luis Obispo Bar Association and is licensed to practice in California. His career path—moving from a larger group to his own practice—has kept him rooted in regional professional circles while allowing him to pursue an independent practice model.
Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who attends closely to the procedural side of cases and to the expectations of clients. He has navigated the logistical and substantive demands of private practice for more than a decade. He currently focuses his practice on matters arising under California law.
