Matthew Livingston Taylor is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Taylor is the founder of the Law Offices of Matthew L. Taylor, a civil litigation firm located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.

Mr. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the UCLA School of Law, graduating in 1995. To further enhance his litigation skills, he obtained a Diploma in Trial Advocacy Skills from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. This educational background has equipped him with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of law.

Mr. Taylor concentrates his practice in civil litigation, focusing on court appointments as a receiver and partition referee. He represents clients in various case types, including business disputes, real property partition actions, and health and safety code violation receiverships. His work encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Taylor has handled numerous property receiverships and over 200 real property partition referee appointments. He has also managed numerous operating business receiverships and health and safety code violation receiverships. His court admissions include the California Supreme Court, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Military Appeals, the United States District Court, the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the United States Tax Court. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Southern California for several years.

Mr. Taylor is an active member of the California Receiver’s Forum and the Eastern Los Angeles County Bar Association. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association since 2008 and has held the position of Secretary/Treasurer since 2010. He is also a licensed California real estate broker and has served as a judge pro tem and special master in the San Bernardino County Superior Court. Mr. Taylor is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
